About Me/ Approach

I have worked with children and families in a number of settings for over 12 years in addition to holding a Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of San Francisco. I have also completed extensive trainings in adoptions, gender identity and sexual orientation, foster care, mindfulness and emotional regulation, trauma and trauma informed parenting, attachment therapy, family therapy and an unconditional care model.

I draw on these trainings and knowledge to provide feminist, humanistic, relational, strengths-based therapy in a safe and nurturing environment.  My hope is to collaborate with clients to manage and explore emotional challenges using warmth and humor, while holding a respect for the powerful and deep work of healing and personal growth. One of my biggest strengths is linking my clients to community resources in order to support them in continuing to heal and grow outside our sessions together.

Through my years of practice, I have developed extensive training and experience working with the following issues and populations:

  • Anxiety and Stress
  • Teens, youth and Families
  • Adoption
  • LGBTQ Community
  • Foster Care
  • Trauma and Loss
  • Attachment
  • Diversity and Social Justice
  • Gender
